BILINGUAL WORKSHOP – SEMANA DE LA CIENCIA Y LA CULTURA

On 6^th April, just before going on Easter holidays, the Bilingual Department organised an event in the Assembly Hall in which all the Bilingual subjects prepared an activity that they had practised throughout the year in order to make the students have control of it and show it to other students in 1ºESO. All the subjects participated and it was an absolute success! Every Bilingual student who volunteered at the stands got involved and really practised their English. Great job!

‘IV SPRING WEEK’ AT PRIMARY SCHOOL

Last 25^th March, the school held the 4^th Spring Week using the theme of ‘The Forest of Emotions’. The whole educational institution was actively involved in the creation of different booths such as EME Project, Healthy Lifestyle, Science, Theatre, Exchanges, Choir, Judo, Swimming club, Dancing, Charity aids and of course the Bilingual one.

As you may see in the pictures, some students worked as volunteers at the booth doing an activity called ‘UK vs. USA spring map game’. The also created a big floral poster and the Coordinator of the Programme showed an exhibition about the programme, its activities and projects. The Secondary Education teachers Maravillas P. and Ana S. also worked on some typical English games. All the kids really enjoyed it!

AIDS FOR INTENSIVE LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAMMES IN ENGLISH

BURLINGTON – UK CULTURE CLASS

Last Monday 20^th March, 3ºESO and 1ºBACH students attended a culture-based amusing lesson that was presented by a native English-speaking trainer called Sam.

The lesson lasted for one hour and all the students really took advantage of this rewarding opportunity to learn about the UK in a very interactive and dynamic way.

The students had fun learning about interesting facts like the reason why British citizens drive on the left. They also had the opportunity to win small prizes for their participation and correct answers in quizzes and contests. They also played the well-known quiz show ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ and were given the chance to use lifelines such as calling Sam’s mum. Unbelievable!

All in all, the students had such a great time and learnt so much about British cultural facts. We hope we will welcome him back again next year. Until then, thank you for your attendance!
