ENGLISH TOWN CAMP – LA TOMA DEL AGUA

We’ve just come back from this year’s English Town Camp in Riópar. Our students from 1ºESO and 2ºESO participated in the full immersion camp for five days (19th-23rd June). They’ve been practising English 24 hours a day and they have attended English lessons and done multiple multi-adventure activities. As this year the weather was very hot, they could swim in the small lake that is adapted as a swimming pool.

The students took advantage of this experience in the best way possible as they really practised English all day long. They were able to improve their Communication Skills as they focused more on Speaking and Listening practice. At the end of the week, the students received Diplomas and some marks for their level of communication and commitment. Their marks were really good!

If you participated in the camp and you want to see all the pictures, you need to access the following link. A folder with the pictures will open and you will be able to download them.

EUROSCOLA – STRASBOURG VISIT TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Thanks to our participation last year in the Euroscola Contest, we received an invitation to participate in the event for young students that took place at the European Parliament on 19th May. Our 4ºB ESO students spent the day in the shoes of a Member of the European Parliament. The debated, negotiated, voted and adopted resolutions on real Europe-wide issues. They expressed their concerns on European problems and some Member of the Parliament answered them. We spent the whole day practising English with other students from countries all over Europe. It was such a self-rewarding experience that the students will never forget.

IMMERSION PROGRAMME IN CORK (IRELAND)

The day finally arrived! 2º and 3º ESO CLIL students together with three teachers spent 8 days in Cork (Ireland) doing an Immersion Programme. The students were accommodated in houses by Irish families and spent one week attending English classes in the morning and visiting different places around Cork in the afternoon.

They had such a great time learning and practising English in real life contexts. They loved the city and they are willing to come back next year. They even wanted to stay there one more week!

Let’s have a look at this amazing video that sums up the experience!

ENGLISH CAMP AT 'ENGLISH TOWN LA TOMA DEL AGUA'

What a nice experience our 1st year ESO students from the CLIL group had on 22nd-26th June! They practised the English language 24/7 with the monitors, teachers and other students.

They had morning, afternoon and evening activities every day ranging from English lessons (indoor and outdoor), handicraft workshops, outdoor adventure activities (multiadventure, parachute, magnets, oil bracelet, archery, flying fox, etc) and day excursions.

The students had an amazing experience living in harmony with the environment and improving their English skills.

You can now have a look at the pictures that were taken at the camp and relive the experience!

LONDON STUDY TRIP

Last April, 4th year ESO students went on a study trip to London for 4 days. Although the beginnings were quite difficult because of the flight delay, the students (and the teachers) managed to overcome the situation successfully. Once we got there, we visited the main streets, museums and monuments of the city by following the instructions and explanations of the teachers.

Whether you were part of the trip or not you can still watch some of the pictures we took in the amazing city of London. Enjoy!
