ST. VALENTINE'S DAY AT THE SCHOOL

On the occasion of Saint Valentine’s Day celebration, the students were able to visit an exhibition (in the hall) which helped them look beyond the common understanding society has on this day. What were they able to learn? Their teacher explained the historical origins of this festivity by drawing on Valntinus story which began in the third century. This activity turned out into an excellent way for the students to broaden and deepen their knowledge on this festivity. They completed a worksheet in which they had to answer some specific questions and we corrected them in class. 1^st year B students brought some Valentine’s Day greeting cards that they gave to their classmates and they read them aloud in class.
