On
December 23th, our choir and music group performed at the V bilingual theater
and choir meeting, which is arranged every year
by the Consejería de Educación before Chsistmas holidays. The event took
place at the Professional Music Conservatory, placed at the old artillery
headquarters.
Our
choir and music group is formed by 2nd , 3rd and 4th year Secondary Compulsory Education
students. This year we have prepared two Christmas carols: John Lennon´s “Imagine”
and John Frederick Coots’ “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”.
We performed together with students from the
IES Alquipir, from Cehegín, who were also participating in the show. At the end
of the event, all the students performed John Lennon’s “Imagine” song, in a
very nice environment.
The
morning ended with a nice walk by the river before coming back to the bus.
We
hope to come back next year again.
